At Renewal by Andersen® of Cape Cod, we are proud to be a window company whose products all bear the ENERGY STAR® label. In this post, we discuss why this matters:
ENERGY STAR Basics
In the early 90s, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) came up with a program designed to put the spotlight on energy-efficient products. The ENERGY STAR label became the identifying mark on such products, designed to help environmentally conscious consumers make eco-friendly purchasing choices.
Why ENERGY STAR® Matters
Homeowners are becoming increasingly conscious of the impact of their energy consumption on the environment, and are looking for ways to live more sustainably. We are committed this cause as well, which is why all our replacement windows bear ENERGY STAR label. Having the label is our way of communicating to our customers that our products are not only good for them but for the rest of the planet too.
Our commitment to promoting energy efficiency can be seen in the products we offer and continue to develop. Our decision to create our innovative Fibrex® frame material was largely influenced by the desire to produce an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional window frame materials. About 40% of the materials used to create Fibrex® frames are composed of reclaimed wood fiber.
In addition, all our windows are built with high-performance, low-E glass, an energy-efficient product designed to reduce heat transfer. Thanks to low-E glass and Fibrex, our windows help you maintain a more comfortable interior without relying as much on your heating and air conditioning, resulting in less energy consumption and lower energy bills.
